Today, our radio station received an email asking us to share with our listeners about the Sarasota/Manatee Metro Planning Authority's Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). This is the plan that will dictate our road development for the next 25 years...kind of a big deal! The plan includes roads, bicycles, pedestrians, trails, public transit, parking, railroads and airports. It looks 20 years into the future, and is updated every 5 years.
Translation: If you have ideas for how to make traffic better, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO SPEAK YOUR MIND and actually be heard by our local authorities!
If you live in Sarasota/Manatee Counties, you're being asked to take a look at the Transform Tomorrow plan and complete a survey where your opinions will be welcomed. We just ask that your answers be kept professional. We know you love this community and we're sure you have strong opinions on the best way to proceed.
