Cleveland, Ohio Customer Leaves $3,000 Tip For A $7 Beer
Nighttown Jazz Club and restaurant in Cleveland is closing down temporarily because of the pandemic.
One customer wanted to make sure the staff had something to help out during this difficult time.
The unidentified man ordered a Stella Artois beer for $6.50. With tax, the beer cost $7.02. When the customer was done, he left a $3,000 tip.
The owner of Nighttown, Brendan Ring was in shock. Ring ran after the man to make sure it wasn't a mistake.
Ring posted the receipt on Facebook saying, "Unbelievable but symbolic of the kind of quality folks we have know at Nighttown all these years. I could post his name, but I won’t as I think he wouldn’t want that, but all my waitstaff and myself and humbly grateful for this incredibly kind and grand gesture."
