Sarasota Sheriff Giving Kids who show Kindness Free Slurpee's with ‘Operation Chill’

The SCSO tweeted: "It's that time of year once again! The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is joining #OperationChill, which means deputies will look to “ticket” youngsters who are caught in random acts of kindness, good deeds or positive community activities w/ free Slurpee coupons."

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is partnering with 7-11 on the program which encourages, good deeds or positive community activities. Those are then rewarded with free Slurpee coupons.

The items that can be "ticketed" vary greatly... all positive.... From wearing a helmet while riding a bike, picking up litter or holding the door open - the end result is the same for every child: a free Slurpee and encouragement for being a good kid.

7-11 says the program gives local law enforcement an opportunity to make a positive connection with kids with the free drink!!
