The Summer Food Program that has been happening throughout Manatee County, the last few months, will be changing as School starts back up.

It wraps us...This Friday, August 7th, as Manatee County Schools - Food & Nutrition Services we will be handing out a week’s worth of meals , this Friday from 11am-1pm.... (to feed kids from August 7th-14th) for those who pick up at the 23 "school drive-thru sites", within Manatee County. .

What you will receive:

FREE MEALS will be available to any kid or teen, 18 or younger at any of these "23 school meal sites".

School Resumes in Manatee County, on Monday August 17th...

No matter which option you have selected for your student this school year, food will be available. Whether, Brick & Mortar, Hybrid Schedule or Full-Time ELearning... When it comes to the Hybrid Plan or ELearning, Parents or Guardians, will be able to pick Food up, at their child's school. When, will depend on their Grade and which learning plan they have selected. Each school, will have those exact details... Check with your school.

IF YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR FREE & REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS

If circumstances have changed and you've never had to do this before, please know... Any student enrolled in a Manatee County Public School may apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Eligibility is salary-based.

Reminder: You have to reapply every year for Meal Benefits. Free & Reduced Meal Benefits for the 2020-21 school year expire on September 21st

Only one household application needs to be completed per family, including foster children

Also.... If your child goes to one of the following Community Eligibility Program (CEP) schools they will receive FREE breakfast and lunch everyday - no free and reduced application is needed
