3pm Today Sarasota & Manatee County 1st Responders Thank Healthcare Workers


At 3pm today (Friday, April 17th) all throughout Sarasota & Manatee Counties, 1st Responders will be paying tribute to ALL our area Hospitals and all their staffs. 

Chief Paul Dezzi of Longboat Key Fire & Rescue and Larry Luh – Asst. EMS Chief Manatee County, have helped organized this effort and joined us to talk about it (listen at link below).

1st Responders will be showing their appreciation for all these local hospitals and their health care staff. 

In conjunction both counties, 1st Responders will be doing this at the same time.

They all know how trying these past weeks have been on everyone and those working these cases in the hospitals cannot be overlooked

At 3pm today (Friday, April 17th) they will activate their lights/sirens for 30 seconds and salute those in the Hospital. After the 30 seconds, they will announce:

“We want to recognize the work of all the hospital staff during the COVID-19 response. We are lucky to have such dedicated professionals working in our community and this is a small way to express our appreciation!Dispatch will then come over the air and dismiss all personnel
