Comcast and Xfinity Offering Free Wi-Fi For Families in Sarasota County

Comcast and Xfinity Offering Free Wi-Fi For Families in Sarasota County and Beyond.

"During this extraordinary time, it is vital that as many Americans as possible stay connected to the internet – for education, work, and personal health reasons,” said Dave Watson, Comcast Cable Chief Executive Officer. “Our employees also live and work in virtually every community we serve, and we all share the same belief that it’s our Company’s responsibility to step up and help out.”

Comcast is taking steps to implement the following new policies for the next 60 days, and other important initiatives:

  • Xfinity WiFi Free For Everyone:Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visitwww.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.

Spectrum is Offering Manatee County Residents – Free Online Access

Schools are closed and Charter Communications is stepping up by offering free Spectrum Broadband and Wi-Fi for, at least the next 60 days.

The offer applies to households where students (including college students) are home due to school closures.

According to the company the offer applies to "households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps."

You also have to live in a Spectrum service area.

If You are not in a service area, for either of those internet providers... each School District, can assist you, with a "mobile internet Hot Spot", BUT... you must contact them, at the above links online, or on the phone.
