Publix Will Be Installing Plexiglas Around Cash Registers


To Keep it's team member and it's customers safe. Publix has announced it plans to install plexiglas partitions to cash register areas.

Publix says all 1,200 locations should have plexiglas installed at the cash registers within two weeks.

The plexiglas is meant to keep both customers and cashiers safe as stores see unprecedented demand, People continue to stocking up on needed items and people are also now cooking more at home.

Publix is also taking extra effort to sanitize items that include "baskets, cart handles and pin pads at the registers after each use."

Publix also reminds us their warehousing and distribution centers are working around the clock to receive product from our suppliers and to ship product to our stores,

Last week alone, they delivered almost 12,000 truckloads to stores. Their teams are diligently working to get shelves restocked and conduct preventive cleaning measures to provide a safe and clean working and shopping experience.
