Back in 2016, Wanda Dench wanted to give her grandchildren some details of her Thanksgiving plans -- and accidentally sent a text to a 17-year-old boy, Jamal Hinton, who wasn’t actually her grandson.
Even after realizing the mistake, Wanda still invited Jamal to Thanksgiving dinner, an invitation that Jamal accepted.
Well, fast-forward a few years and Jamal continues to spend Thanksgiving with Wanda. But this year, there was a twist.
Jamal had Wanda over for dinner at his family’s place.
Wanda is certainly thankful for the friend she has in Jamal -- and admits that she was thankful this Thanksgiving to avoid all the cooking and cleaning she normally has to do.
