Cable Guy Holds Customer's Child While Working at Her House

A cable guy answered a service call at a family's home in South Carolina and ended up providing a service much bigger than just upgrading the Internet.

Jessica Nash Donnahoo posted a picture on Facebook of her three-year-old son, Sailor, in the arms of Spectrum cable technician Rob Kinney. She then gave an amazing explanation for why the cable guy was holding her son.

Jessica says he was having a very rough day caring for her two-year-old daughter and Sailor, who is blind and has two brain defects. Jessica's husband was at work and Sailor had been crying all day. That is, until Rob showed up.

As soon as he walked into the house, Rob was greeted by Sailor who jumped into his arms. Rob never flinched. In fact, he held onto Sailor and rocked him for 45 minutes while working on their Internet speed.

Sailor was calm the whole time and ultimately fell asleep. Jessica was so moved by what Rob did and wrote, "Robert could have walked in, rushed, and left, but instead he saw a need greater than internet and met it. That’s beyond customer service -- it’s humanity at its best."

Rob, who is a single father of a four-year-old, brushed it off as no big deal. He said Jessica and her husband are the ones who deserve all of the attention adding, "For them to adopt him and take care of him on a daily basis is much more than what I did for a short period of time. God really has blessed that family and will continue to do so because of the kind and gentle spirit they have. They deserve more recognition than anyone.”
