Alex Hillers was riding his motorcycle when he spotted flames and smoke coming from a nearby house. He immediately pulled over and sprang into action to help battle the blaze.
First, Hillers rang the doorbell to alert the homeowners of the danger, but no one was home.
Then he grabbed a garden hose and started spraying down the backyard patio structure, which was completely engulfed in flames.
The good samaritan was able to keep the fire from engulfing the house until firefighters arrived. He says, “I happened to be at the wrong place at the right time.”
