Senator Rubio: Small Business Relief Is Coming

Relief is on the way for small businesses that have had to shut their doors during the coronavirus outbreak.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act called the Federal Cares Act provides $2-Trillion dollars in relief, including $377-billion for small businesses of 500 employees or less, nonprofits and their workers.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio-who Chairs the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee-says those who qualify have to go to a private lender and verify their company and payroll and they will qualify for 250% of their monthly payroll.

He says the goal is to help people get back on their feet as soon as possible.

He says as long as the money is spent on payroll, rent and utilities it will not need to be paid back.
