Palm Beach County City Votes On Allowing Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

One South Florida city will take its final vote on whether or not to allow medical marijuana dispensaries.

Patients who live in Boca Raton currently must visit the businesses set up in nearby cities or unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County.

The city has a ban in place and has voted several times since medical marijuana was legalized in Florida to keep enforcing it. That was back in 2016.

But Mayor Scott Singer says his city has now come up with a solid plan to balance compassion for patients with maintaining a high quality of life for residents.

The vote is being held at City Hall on Tuesday night.
