Boynton Beach

The Boynton Beach Police Department is enforcing the speed limit in school zones.

Officers wrote more than 40 citations on the first day of school, Monday, with the highest speed being 47 miles per hour in the 20 mile per hour zone.

On Thursday, the traffic division was at Crosspointe Elementary School, where members of the media were invited to watch officers enforce the speed limit. Authorities throughout the state urge drivers to watch their speed near schools and bus stops.
