Homestead Detention Center To Reopen To Immigrant Teens This Fall

The shut-down Homestead detention center getting ready to reopen its doors come Fall. Federal goverment sources making this announcement less than two weeks after the center officially relocated all of the teens. South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell says something isn't adding up and she's demanding answers. She wants to know where the teens are and why they were relocated. So far, she has not received any answers from the feds. Homestead is the largest for-profit influx center for unaccompanied teens. It was at 3-thousand at its peak, on its final day it housed about 300 kids.
