State Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of FPL On Solar Costs Recovery

The state's highest court has rejected a challenge to a decision that allowed FPL to recoup money from customers for solar energy projects.

The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously ruled in favor of the Florida Public Service Commission, which approved the power company's plan to recover costs of the projects through base electric rates.

The Florida Industrial Power Users Group challenged the approval, claiming the projects would not be cost-effective.
