OKEECHOBEE, Fla. (CBS12) —The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on second degree murder charges for the killing of a man from Jupiter.
Deputies arrested 36-year-old James Wade Hodges for the murder of 43-year-old Paul Murphy of Jupiter.
Okeechobee Fire Rescue crews retrieved Murphy's body from a submerged car in a canal near NE 39th Blvd. and Cemetery Road last Friday.
The sheriff's office said Murphy had multiple gunshot wounds.
Hodges is being held without bond at the Okeechobee County Jail.
