J & J Café in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has set up a fun system that makes it easy for customers to pay for a meal or two for those in need.
Kitchen manager and owner Dale Peters invites his customers to pay for an extra meal -- and put the meal ticket on a bulletin board.
Some customers pay for burgers. Others pay for omelets. And then, anyone who shows up who can’t afford a meal can grab one of those tickets and enjoy some warm food.
Dale says the program is doing well. But, he also doesn't want anyone feeling weird about taking a ticket, explaining that if somebody is hungry, they should come and get a meal.
