Business man gives one last thank you to his town's residents

For decades, Dennis Valstad of Ripon, Wisconsin, ran a dry cleaning business. And along the way, he amassed a small fortune -- which nobody really knew about until Dennis passed away.

When Dennis died at age 69, there was a blurb in his will. He wanted to share $500,000 with everyone in the community who showed up for his funeral.

So, people in and around the city of Ripon recently received a letter -- along with a check for $1,800 -- from an attorney, explaining that Dennis wanted to reward his friends and family for their support.

It wasn’t expected. It was just a thank you -- and an inspiration for everyone to be more giving, more loving and more understanding.
