Bar gives special dollar bills to those in need in the Bahamas

For years, customers visiting the Siesta Key Oyster Bar in Sarasota, Florida, have had fun stapling dollar bills to the walls, ceilings and awnings inside -- even stapling the money on top of other bills when there was no room.

When Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas, the staff wanted to do something to help, so they decided to take down all the cash from the walls -- and send it to relief efforts down there.

Employees spent the entire month of September, removing the cash with pliers and screwdrivers. After every dollar was removed from the walls, they had a pile totaling $13,961 -- which will all go to a good cause.
