Company turns scrap wood into toy guitars for sick kids

A construction company in Florida has figured out a way to turn scrap wood into toy guitars for sick children around the world.

A few years ago, Wayne Robison -- who runs the company Rulon International -- saw that a bunch of scrap wood was being created on construction jobs and going to waste. So, he committed to turning that wood into 10,000 guitars.

Amazingly, the company is halfway there.

Each small, wooden toy guitar is fine-tuned and ready to create music in orphanages and hospitals.

And in their world travels, Wayne and his wife Eleanor have discovered that music and animals do the best job of helping them kids through their illnesses.

They’ve focused on music -- and have set up a program that will continue to put smiles on the faces of children in need for years to come.
