In Phoenix, Arizona, Alex and Shaun Jakeman are doing their best to care for their four-year-old son, Noah, who is dealing with a severe form of epilepsy.
While helping the Jakemans during a visit to the intensive care unit at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, a friend of the family accidentally sent a text message to a stranger named Bill.Oops. Wrong number.
But instead of just ignoring the message, Bill -- who wishes to remain anonymous -- learned what the Jakeman family was struggling with and sprang into action.
Not only did he quickly begin raising money within his network of friends on Facebook, he also asked those friends to donate cards and gifts, so that Noah could see the support from the community when he recovered.
