Group donates vans to bring veterans to medical appointments

In Rochester, New York, a charity group wanted to ensure that veterans in the area were getting the care they need, so they donated three vans to bring the vets to their medical appointments.

After seeing that veterans were having a hard time getting to and from the appointments, the Rochester chapter of Disabled American Veterans raised the money and purchased the special vans.

And, a team of volunteers has stepped forward to drive the vans to clinics and other offices.

Everyone involved in the effort can see the effect they’re having -- and feel good about giving back to those who have made huge sacrifices for most of their lives.
