Two sisters made military history

For the first time in the 244-year history of the United States Army, two sisters have earned the rank of general.

Earlier this year, Paula Lodi was promoted to the one-star rank of brigadier general, joining her sister Maria Barrett, who is a two-star general.

To celebrate the historic moment of sisters serving together as general officers, General Barrett presented her sister, Brigadier General Lodi with her one-star rank insignia as a tribute to the history of women serving in the Army.
