In order to help those in need in her community, Jamie Hendricks of Saint Paul, Minnesota, set up a food pantry in her front yard.
She was inspired by the idea of “Little Free Libraries,” where neighbors lend and borrow books. But, she replaced books with food.
As she saw more and more of her neighbors using the pantry, she replaced her original two-foot- long pantry with a seven-foot one.
Jamie likes being able to help her neighbors and also likes that they can take food anonymously. There’s no paperwork. It’s just generosity – on Jamie’s front yard.
