Firefighters in Webster Groves, Missouri, saw a need in their community and spent their free time filling that need by making life easier for a wheelchair-bound resident.
While responding to a call, the firefighters noticed a woman in the neighborhood struggling to get into her home. The front yard was bumpy and the woman had to get up a number of steps just to get inside.
So, the firefighters spent some of their days off digging out and pouring a new sidewalk for her.
Thanks to their generosity and willingness to get their hands dirty, she now has a level pathway and a new ramp, which makes it easier than ever for her move into and out of her house.
