9-year-old Mariah Turner of Kansas City, Missouri, got together with her mother, Maude, to start a company that made natural lip balms and bath products.
The idea was to raise money to help the family care for Mariah’s younger brother, Manny, who lives with autism.
A year later, the company is thriving and Mariah is able to donate hundreds of dollars to organizations that help other kids, just like Manny.
While running the company is fun, Maude has seen that it’s more important to Mariah to make an impact. Mariah is motivated to continue to help families -- and also stay active in those organizations to raise awareness about autism to give the kids the best chance of success.
