A 13-year-old Maryland boy has found a way to combine his love for baking with his love for helping other people.
Michael Platt opened his own small bakery, called Michael's Desserts, where he makes all varieties of cakes, cookies and cupcakes. But this isn't any ordinary bakery. It also happens to be a charity.
Michael considers himself an advocate for childhood hunger and income inequality. So with each cookie, cake or cupcake he sells, he donates a treat to local homeless and domestic abuse shelters.
He's also teamed up with a nonprofit organization called No Kid Hungry, which works to end child hunger in America.
