A supermarket sweep for charity

A Canadian couple won a supermarket shopping spree and were given 50 seconds to grab as many items as they could. That's just what they did, but they didn't keep it for themselves.

Chantal Leroux says she was thrilled when she found out she won the shopping spree and immediately started thinking about which high-priced items she could fill her cupboard with.

But before the shopping spree started, she and her boyfriend, Ryan Warren, got a better idea. Chantal says, "I thought what a great opportunity to be able to give back."

The couple decided to grab as many non-perishable items as possible and then donate all of them to a local food bank. When they were all done, they had collected nearly $600 worth of goods.

But they weren't done. They also reached out to local companies who donated another $1,500 for the food bank.
