Sorority donates 20,000 books to children

Part of being in the Pi Beta Phi sorority involves participating in a national day of service.

And for the group’s chapter in Omaha, Nebraska, that led to 20,000 books being donated to schoolchildren in the area.

They collected the books and put them on display in a warehouse. They then invited teachers to come in and take what they wanted for their students.

For the sorority sisters, it was fulfilling to achieve their goal of promoting literacy to younger students who might not otherwise have access to books at home.
