Woman Saved From Sewer After She Attempts Rescue of Dog

A woman who tried to save her dog became stuck in the sewer, according to UPI. Her cries for help were heard by another woman. "I'm laying on my chaise lounge, and I hear what I think is someone yelling, 'help', but also wonder if it's an animal," said Roberta Ingham. "She must have been yelling down the pipe and we could hear her, but she couldn't hear us," Ingham said. Firefighters and EMTs removed a manhole cover, lifted the dog and helped the woman up a ladder. Deputy Chief Kevin Kerrigan said the woman chased her dog down a culvert and into an underground pipe, where both got stranded.
