Early Monday morning, 26-year-old Adrian Yan marched into his mom's room at their shared residence and accused her of hiding toilet paper. She admitted as much, later telling deputies that her son uses too much T.P., which has become one the coronavirus pandemic's most precious everyday commodities. The argument escalated to the point where Yan punched his mother and was arrested. Shirley Miller of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station says that officers have been responding to an unusually high amount of family-violence calls as lockdown patience runs low. "It was to be expected," Miller tellsThe L.A. Times. "It's happening everywhere."
