Jeopardy Host Alex Trebek Donates $100K To Homeless Shelter

Aex Trebek is lending his hand to Los Angeles' homeless crisis. 

The "Jeopardy" host donated 100-thousand dollars to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, a nonprofit dedicated on prevention, reduction and elimination of poverty, hunger and homelessness. 

The founder and CEO of the organization says they will name part of its new shelter in North Hollywood after Trebek and his wife Jean. 

The nonprofit provides nearly 290-thousand meals and 93-thousand nights of safe shelter each year.
