Back in 2007, Army Brigadier General Vincent Buggs started exchanging letters with a group of kindergartners in Georgia.
Over the next decade or so, no matter where Vincent was located, he would send the children letters and gifts. In return, they would send him notes and care packages.
These days, those kindergartners are seniors in high school – and Vincent was able to recently visit them to express his thanks to the class in-person.
The students were thrilled to meet the man they’ve been writing to for so long. And, they were able to hear words of wisdom and encouragement from someone who’s accomplished a lot through hard work and sacrifice.
