Kelsea Ballerini & More Country Stars Help Elvis Duran Raise Money

Country radio programmer, Rod Phillips came to the Elvis Duran Show this morning for what he thought was just a catch-up with his good friend Elvis Duran, what happened next surprised everyone!

As a music programmer, Phillips has a lot of big connections within the country music industry. Elvis decided to challenge him and announced "for every country music superstar that called in, he would donate 1,000 to a charity of that artist's choice." Well during commercial break, Phillips went and texted everyone in country music world that he thought would be awake. First on the line was Cole Swindell. After talking for a bit Elvis added another country star to the show. Now Swindell had to guess what other country star was on the phone, "I have a group chat with one of his songs... one of my favorite songs of all time," said the mystery caller talking about Swindell's hit song Middle Of A Memory. "I've sent you screenshots when it's [Middle Of A Memory] on the radio all the time." After saying that, Swindell knew exactly who it was.... Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay!

After Phillips left the studio we got even more calls from country star Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett. "Well I'm going to call 10 of my other buddies to call in in the next 20 minutes," says Rhett after finding out the donations being collected on the show today.
