It's never too late to go to your senior prom. Just ask Helen Danis who, at 97 years old, just danced to the "Cha Cha Slide" at Pilgrim High School in Rhode Island.
Helen never got to go to her own senior prom 80 years ago because she couldn't afford it. She always talked about missing out on the momentous occasion, so her granddaughter got an idea.
With the school's permission, Julie Huddon asked her grandmother to be her date at the prom. Helen enthusiastically accepted and went shopping for a dress.
Then at the big dance, Helen got right on the dance floor with the teens and they loved it. They even named her an honorary prom queen.
