Paws in the Park at Ed Smith Stadium this Saturday

Celebrate your furry friend by bringing them out to experience a day of fun, socializing and exploration at Ed Smith Stadium on Saturday, August 18th. Paws in the Park provides an opportunity to bring your 4-legged friends to the ballpark while enjoying a Gulf Coast League Orioles minor league baseball game.

Paws in the Park offers fun pet contests, photo booths, activity areas and meet pet-related organizations and businesses showcasing their causes, products and services in a fun, animal-friendly environment.

Paws in the Park is partnered with the Humane Society of Sarasota County who will be offering adoptions and collecting items for a pet food drive at Ed Smith Stadium from 9 AM to 1 PM.

*Paws in the Park Rules: A release and waiver form must be signed for entry with each dog. All attendees also must bring a copy of the dog’s vaccination form(s). All dogs will be required to have current Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations. All dogs must have ID tags, be on a leash at all times, and be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. Dogs will not be allowed on the field due to the day’s game. A nearby pet relief area will be available, and dog owners must pick up any pet waste. No more than one dog per adult (18 years of age or older) will be permitted.

Dogs must be at least six months old. While there will be water stations and shaded areas available, the seating will be exposed to sun for a portion of the game. Fans are encouraged to bring spray bottles to keep dogs cool in case of heat and are asked to monitor their pets for signs of overheating.
