MAN MOWING 50 LAWNS IN 50 STATES FOR A GOOD CAUSE

A few years ago, college student Rodney Smith Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama, made it his mission to mow lawns for people who couldn't do it themselves. He helped veterans, the elderly and some single moms. He then started an organization to get other people involved -- and he was able to impact even more people in his community.

Well, Rodney took things to a whole new level last summer, by mowing at least one lawn in each of the 50 states -- and inspiring others to keep helping once he moved on to the next location.

This summer, he's back at it with his 50 States, 50 Yards challenge, where participants are encouraged to mow as many lawns in their hometown as the number of states Smith visits.

He's raised nearly $20,000 through his website and is currently rolling across the country, helping those in need, one lawn at a time.
