FAMILY DONATES HOCKEY PLAYOFF TICKET TO VETERAN

This is the first year the Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey team has been in existence, but that didn't stop many fans from jumping on the bandwagon early and buying season tickets.

That early enthusiasm has paid off. The Golden Knights are now in the Stanley Cup Finals and could very well win the championship.

But instead of using their ticket and going to Game 1 of the tournament on Memorial Day, the Stewart family decided to give it away to a veteran.

The gift went to Roger Tim, a retired U.S. Navy veteran who was introduced to the Stewart family by his step-daughter who explained all the ways he sacrificed both for his family and for his country.

The Stewart family felt great about having the chance to surprise a veteran -- and Roger had a blast as the Golden Knights won the game 6-4.
