A swimming pool in Maryland caters to some very special customers -- dogs in need of rehab.
The K9 Aquatic Center has five narrow pools dedicated only to four-legged swimmers. Owners bring their dogs and allow them to swim laps in the warm water with swim coaches and life jackets if needed.
Some of the dogs are recovering from surgery or injury. Swimming allows them to strengthen their bodies.
Other dogs are swimming to get exercise and lose weight, even if they're older and not as able to run around as they once were.
And all dogs get the chance to have fun moving around, even getting to fetch balls thrown in the water.
