Earlier this week, Jessica Simpson allegedly told Hoda Kotb that ex-husband Nick Lachey and second wife Vanessa sent her a gift when she became a mom. Then Vanessa disputed that claim by telling Kotb, "It wasn't us...I don’t know her address." After Vanessa took heat for that, Simpson has now admitted that she probably never got a gift from the Lacheys in the first place. "Um, well, I don't really know I got a gift per se," Simpson said this week in a radio interview. "My gift from Nick is that he is happy and he is married and that he has three children and is a father." She continued, "That really is a gift from me because I had crushed his heart and I didn't think he believed that I could grow up. I wasn't always gonna be that young girl, I had to be a woman." When she was then asked again to clarify once and for all if she got a gift, Simpson added, "Um, I did not get a gift. I don't know where that came from." #Giftgate closed!
